New sign painting up for Las Estrellas Dual Language School in NE Minneapolis.

Las Estrellas is in the process of incorporating its school mascot (the owl) into its hallways to help connect with students and build its identity. The mascot uses dual text in its word balloons to help children with their cognitive development and comprehension.

This particular mural was painted high above the stairwell in front of the entrance to the school’s art classroom and gymnasium.

The next one will be painted at the school’s front entrance, I already have a couple of ideas of what I want to do. Hopefully, I can get it all designed, approved, and painted by this May (2023)!
