Thrift Store painting collaboration continues - Albert Bierstadt

On April 18, 2023 I purchased a framed painting (print on canvas) from St. Vincent de Paul- Twin Cities Thrift Store at 2939 12th Ave S, Minneapolis, MN 55407. The image depicts an idyllic mountainous landscape with a family of deer standing in the foreground by the edge of a clear blue lake. No signature.

My research online of the work led me to discover that the picture is based on an oil painting by the artist Albert Bierstadt

New work up at the NY Historical Society - Hudson Rising

In connection with the company New Project, I painted aspects of the ‘Hudson Rising’ exhibition now on display at the NY Historical Society in Manhattan. The exhibition runs March 1 - August 4, 2019.

A lot of the displays ended up being covered in vinyl but they were painted initially.
The rocks and boulders were carved/painted at the New Project studio in Brooklyn.

Hudson Rising explores 200 years of ecological change and environmental activism along “the most interesting river in America” through artifacts, media, and celebrated Hudson River School paintings. The exhibition reflects on how human activity has impacted the river and, in turn, how the river environment has shaped industrial development, commerce, tourism, and environmental awareness. The exhibition also explores how experts in various fields are currently creating ways to restore and re-engineer areas of the river in response to climate change.”

New sign painting up for the Robert Crumb exhibition at the David Zwirner Gallery (519 West 19th Street, New York). February 21 - April 13, 2019.
Drawing for Print: Mind Fucks, Kultur Klashes, Pulp Fiction & Pulp Fact by the Illustrious R. Crumbpresents an exhibition organized by Robert Storr that examines the mind and career of R. Crumb. The  exhibition will feature a wide array of printed matter culled from the artist’s archive: tear sheets of drawings  and comics, taken directly from the publications where the works first appeared, as well as related ephemera.’

The signage was painted with 1 Shot paint and took approximately two days to complete.
